Face your phobias. Realize nothing is there in the dark that isn't there in the light. You have control of what goes on between your ears! Take charge.

I have the same problem and I am alone at night in my house so if something were to happen I would have to confront it or them on my own. This is really blunt but you sorta just have to grow up a little. If something happens, it happens and that's life. I wouldn't be afraid of the dark unless you mess with black magic or have ghosts in your house or something. What I mostly worry about is someone breaking in and hurting me. If you don't have a dog I would consider getting one. Talk radio at night is good and sometimes so boring it puts you to sleep no problem. Take care, and remember a lot of it is just in your head. You are for the most part safe.

Listen to some music that calms you down. Make some tea (chamomile or jasmine) and relax while reading a magazine or watching a movie that's upbeat. Try watching a chick flick, or watch a comedy. Do things that keep you busy so that you aren't thinking about the loneliness( like crafts or make a gift for someone) . And if you have a friend you can call that's nice, but not necessary. I know how scary it can be, so these are the things I do when I am scared.

I hate being alone at night too,I think its because I came from a large family, and there was always someone else around.
I found getting a pet like a cat or small dog helped.
Before that Id turn every light in the house on,except for the room I was sleeping in..lol
Id also try to bar my bedroom door with something,I know how you feel..lol

Leave a night light on and listen to the radio or tv as you drift off to sleep.

I'm not sure. I'm afraid of the dark too. I just watch tv and turn on a few lights. I fall asleep eventually.

Reflect on what you have done for the day and how much time you have wasted thinking of all these...We only live once,no turning back, choose how you want to live it.In fear or in joy?... U decide.

keep the tv on!!! if you dont want to leave it on all night, put the sleep timer on!! this way, you'll have people on tv and you can listen to some kind of conversation to help you doze off.
