No, because violence never solves anything and usually makes the situation far worse. There are always other options so when you are calm, you sit down and figure out those options and what course of action you wish to take...even looking for a different job.

While one of my bosses was really, really getting on my nerves today I would never punch her. Just because she pissed me off today doesn't mean that she's not a good boss.

No... Couldn't he file assault charges against you if you did that?? Then you would be out of a job too, and then you would REALLY feel like crap. If you are that unhappy, maybe you can look for a different job in your free time.
