Lots of people on here are in a hurry to answer.....not always to 'think.' To rip off a quick answer and move on is usually the norm. So the dumbest ones are the easy ones to answer and then race off to the next.
You'd be surprised though. Ask a deep question that hits home with many and you'll get tons of answers as well. You can do it. ;)

Simply because there are more people of lower intelligence levels therfore there are more people to answer these questions. People don't want to answer a question then be proven wrong, making them look like an idiot. Another good question along the same lines is "Why do people who don't know the answer to a question actually click on the Answer This Question button then type in something to the effect of " Good question, I don't really know the answer to that."? If you don't know the answer DON'T CLICK THE BUTTON PEOPLE!!!

They attract the dumbest answerers, and answering them is easy--doesn't require too much thought.

The Dumb questions are the easiest to answer & move on.The
people don't care.Most just want points.So, knee-jerk Q's don't
take much thinking,just blurt-out 1st thoughts.Meaningful Q's
suggest a proper response required, & many don't like to be
wrong.

Because its a lot of fun answering them! The whole point is to see who can out dumb the rest of the dumb answers - that takes a lot of skill.
