Ahah! You thought I was making it up now did you! From my own personal experience it is possible to communicate through toilets! Anyone ever tried it before? It really made me think......

a toilet or any other plumbing has a continous run of pipe, also conduit runs for electrical and heating and ventilation ducts... they all can carry a vibration. if you are trying with a toilet... i think it wouldnt carry voice well because of the pool of water that stops the waste gasses from escaping the drain line.
we use the conduit we are pulling wire thru to communicate on long wire pulls on the job.

yea, sure. Ill leave a little vandalised note at the back of the toilet bowl cover and maybe you can write something back in return. By the time we've finshed one actual, proper converstaion, our toilet will look like an autograph scrapbbok. Its okay, we can just bring it down and build another one.

Of course, lmp, anybody who has ever been to jail knows this one. Use a pillow to displace the water in the trap, Put your trap close to the thunder bowl's trap and yak away. If offensive a clothespin helps.

no it is not possible.... because there is a master trap installed on every toilet made to keep sewer gases out, there for no noise can be transmitted either
