He's too thin and looks toylike in the suit.

Brandon Routh is excellent as Superman. His every move is like Christopher Reeves. However, the suit sucks, and the lady who played Lois had no butt (or acting talent, considering this is Brandon's first movie). Kevin Spacey played Lex beautifully.

Brandon Routh played a great Superman and reminded me a lot of Christopher Reeves
Kevin Spacey played a better Lex Luthor than Gene Hackman.
Kate Bosworth was not a very good Lois Lane I thought Margot Kidder played her better.
all in all I thought the movie was very good. I thought Kevin played Lex much more ruthless like he is in the comic books.

i've seen it and i loved it!
it was clever for the scriptwriters to think of how to work around the plotline of the previous Superman movies... it just left me wonderin how Lois "did" Superman wearing the bluetights. haha.
and talkin bout Brandon... well when I first saw him in an article back in 2004, i first noticed the uncanny resemblance he had with Christopher Reeve.
but that was two years ago, coz when i saw the movie last month, i dint really stick the resemblance in my mind. it was just that Brandon has this different aura around him that makes me not compare him to Christopher Reeve.
there was just something in Brandon that makes me wanna see him as a completely different entity from Mr. Reeve.

It was eery! When he went on the plane and to make sure Lois and everyone else were fine, he gave the same speech in the new movie that Christopher Reeve gave to Lois when he caught the helicopter and Lois in the first movie. He sounded almost just like him, as Clark and as Superman. I was not disappointed at all.
But the difference is the digital effects throughout the entire movie. My friend told me he went to see it in an IMAX theater, and it is 100 times better.

yes i've seen superman returns, it's a 5 star. i loved brandon routh for the character. of course no one can replace reeve but he is definitely close in resemblance, in geek factor. perfect choice for superman.

i just saw it this weekend...brandon did as good as can be expected. i dont think anyone will ever say he was better then reeves but he did very good. I went in feeling like i was kind of betrying old reeves but i had to see what the big fuse was. the 1st 30 or so minutes i didnt care for it then it actually got pretty good. i dont think it was good enough to be 2hr and 40minutes but it was ok.

i've seen it and the movie blew me away in terms of the special visual effects.
although in terms of storyline, i found a lot of loopholes and pitfalls.
but brandon routh was good, so as the other actors/actresses.
looking forward to the 2009 sequel that's already in the works!

I saw today and i was quite impressed. My only fault would be there isn't enough rescues and the effects are TOO good!
I think superman being a comic needs to keep it simple ,thats what made the old ones great.
