Yes I always do especially when I am at the drive up ATM. I also do it in such a fashion that I do it before I even pull the money inside my car so the camera if it happens to be on will see me do it. I have been given an extra $20 before and have been shorted a $20 before. Both times the mixup was corrected in the night count at the bank. When I was given too much I walked back in to the bank and told them what happened because I would feel guilty taking it. I made sure that the gal wrote down that she was receiving $20 from me with the date and time noted and signed by her. I took the note with me so that if there was any dispute whether I returned it or not I would have the well needed proof. I did this because they couldn't give me any official receipt or anything.

yes....I always count.
Once my friend withdraw money from ATM and it was less than what she withdrew. She didnt count then and found the error after couple of hours. But then she couldnt do much to prove the error. If only she would have counted then and there before leaving the ATM, it would have helped.

always...a machine can easily make an error.
in all my days dealing with ATM's I have never been shorted but have been given a few extra 20's over my days due to them sticking together.
