GERMANY! They deserved to win in EVERY aspect of the game anyway... and WHO HAS THE BETTER DEFENSE? WHO? Germany!! We have a goalkeeper that blocked ARGENTINA's PENALTY KICKS and who are VERY organized. the Italians STOLE their title from them and YOU ALL KNOW IT! They were the hosts and the hosts have every right to the title in order to bring pride to their countries...Germans were on a roll- they BEAT ARGENTInA, okay?? And the Germans wouldn't have been so bad off if Michael Ballack , Per mertesacker and Arne Friedrich hadn't been injured! Italians injure people on purpose and still get all the credit because they win. I HATE IT. People just support italy because they won...listen, football isn't just about winning but the entire process that takes them further and further and advances them. And if you ask me, Italy was not impressive at all in the process. Germany on the other hand was experiencing newfound glory and love for their country and it was so heartwarming to see them advance because THEY DESERVED IT. They may not be the world's champions but the german people and all the german fans around the world know that they are the champions of their hearts and in their book, Germany won this Cup no matter what the stats are. And besides, what's more important? A piece of gold that can easily be destroyed? OR... a newfound undying passion for one's country that can never be lost? EXACTLY. Italy may have "conquered the world," but not really. You see, in my book the Germans were way more passionate about their team and the German squad this year definitely captivated not only their country but the world. With their sense of true football and good sportsmanship and undying love for their country they fought till the very end and THAT, my friends, is TRUE HONOR. And that is why wen Germany lost, i was crying with them. Yes, according to my calculations, the evidence leads me to the undeniable conclusion that ITALY really LOST! The thieves! They have nothign to celebrate about! Psshhh a bunch of five year olds fighting for a piece of gold, ha! SHAME ON THEM. The french and the germans weren't crying over a piece of gold, they were crying because they had allowed such a bad team like italy to bring shame to them like that in front of the world. THat was what was so disappointing.

Italy won the world cup, and i also think that they deserved it since the first goal that was scored,not with a penalty, was scored by them.although i did want to France to win,i must give Italy a round of applause for puting on a great show.

One fantastic header from MATERAZZI let ITALY score the equaliser against FRANCE which then went all the way to a penalty shoot-out, which surprisingly ITALY scored them all 5-3
