I have had it. from a size I (yes there is such a size, and the bra was actually too small) to a big C or small D. I woke up with no back ache for the first time in years, and I was amazed at how much my symptoms lessened or vanished altogether. I was sore from surgery of course, but it was a good pain as I knew it was temporary. I wish I had not waited so long (50). The first few days were not so pleasant, but they do give you drugs for that. there were drainage tubes on the side of my breasts but they were not really a bother. I used Mederma on my scars and they are nearly invisible now after 3 years. I had numbness in my one breast for a couple years (that happens at times when the reduction is so much and that breast was actually 3 sizes bigger than the other one), and feeling on the other one came back pretty quickly, but the nipples never lost feeling - the doctor did a "buttonhole" type surgery where the nipple stays intact and the breast is fitted around it after it is repositioned - like a button being put into a different button hole on a shirt. my hubby and kids took me to a restaurant to celebrate when I could leave the house after surgery, and I actually had tears in my eyes. they wanted to know what was the matter, and I said "nothing, it is the first time I have ever reached for something on the table at a restaurant without worrying about my clothes getting food on them because of my breasts!" I can serve a volleyball, hold a sleeping newborn grandson without fear of suffocation, (my daughter in law cruely called me "granny booby" when she was talking to her sons and my oldest grandson used to call my breasts "grandma's big fluffy pillows"), i can now go braless (!), wear a swim suit and not worry about comments - and I have heard them all, if I am in a photo I am not embarrassed about being a focal point and taking over the picture blocking others out if I turned slightly sideways, I can jog - heck, even just walk - without it hurting. I could go on and on. Regrets? not even for one second! Well the only regret is waiting so long, but I did not want to hurt my hubby's feelings for me by getting them done. when I finally approached him about it he said "go for it, ever since you had the kids those things have taken on a life of their own. To tell you the truth, they scare me to death!" He had wanted to tell me to get a reduction, but thought I would be offended!!! giggle, no way. GO FOR IT! My insurance paid for it btw, as it was a health issue according to the doctors because of the heaviness causing back and neck pains and also other health issues, such as breathing problems and tissue was tearing away under the breasts where they met the chest wall - I also was raw underneath at the bra line and bled a lot. (I could never figure out why people think it is so cool to get them made bigger on purpose larger than a D. they have no idea of the problems it causes). Carefully follow your doctor's advice after surgery and do NOT rush any of the steps, it is important for best results. make sure your surgeon is certified and look at before/after pics of what he/she has done before. I felt totally at ease with my surgeon, and she had the expertise and credentials that backed up my feelings. My surgeon's site is below in case you want to know more about the surgery - it is a great site. Look at procedures and before/after photos besides other parts of the site. (it is not to advertise for her, but to give people a basis of what is done for breast reduction surgery). Best wishes!

I had the surgery done a month and a half ago. I haven't regretted it for one second! You won't either!
You're asleep for the surgery itself, of course, so it's nothing. I spent one night in the hospital and went home the next day. I was on Percocet, but even when I didn't take it, I didn't have any pain, only mild discomfort. It was an easy recovery and I was back to normal life in about three days.
If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them and ease your mind. We all worry before going into surgery, but I promise you - there is nothing to worry about! You will be so thrilled!

I haven't had it, but I've known women who have.
Those women are very happy with the final outcome. Most people don't understand the need for reduction surgery, but for those who are unusually endowed, this can cause back problems and other pain issues.
My friend who had it said her doctor was very concerned about her recovery time. He asked her how she would spend that time, and she said probably reading. He told her small paperbacks, and to be very careful. He'd had a patient whose hobby was gardening, and she did that while recovering, and tore all her stitches.
Of the women I've known who have had it, again, they have been very pleased with the freedom that came from the final results.

Get breast reduction surgery in India.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.
I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible.
As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India.
my cousin got her breast reduction/liposculpture/buttoc... lift surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise fore this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.I am sure they will help you also with the best.be

i have not had, but i have heard that breast reduction surgeries are mostly carried out in U.S.A. by big cosmetologists and plastic surgeons. even in India it is being done. You may contact big renowned hospitals who may properly guide you on this aspect.
