can ou block emails or do you think he closed his account i have emailed and im for a year and this never has happened

Could be a few reasons, either he has closed his account without telling you, his server could be down or you just mistyped his address. If you think that he's blocking your address, which is possible, try one of your other address' like the 'BTY' if you are with BT Yahoo.
If all else fails phone him and ask if he is having problems with his email.

It might be that your message got caught in a spam filter. Try sending it from another email account.
Did you spell it right? One little letter off and it comes right back.
He might have closed the account, but that is fairly unlikely since very few people close accounts these days: they just let them sit open until they get closed by the network admins.

If the e-mail got returned, then the message with it, should say you what the reason was, like "Exceeded quota limit" or "User not found" or "Recipient blocks the mail" etc. Check on that.
