Your mucus plug may be a little or a lot but it will be a gel like material. It will may be in a glob, stringy or just wetness. The mucus plug is clear or yellow-brownish or pinkish in color. You can lose it up to 2 weeks prior to delivery.
When you were in the hospital last week, did you have this discharge? As you go through pregnancy, your vaginal discharge increases. However, if this seems like a major change, you should contact your doctor immediately just to be sure that something else isn't going on.

this is different for each person. everything having to do with pregnancy and labor is different from person to person. the biggest questions to ask yourself are these. are you having any contractions? are you a high risk pregnancy? is the discharge watery? i lost my mucus plug on my due date for my son, but didnt give birth until a week later. the loss of a mucus plug does not always mean you are in labor. it wouldnt be a bad idea to call your doctor and let him know what you are going through, he may want to admit you or he may just tell you to sit it out and wait for the contractions. when your water breaks, thats another story. you then need to call your doctor right away and he will tell you what to do. just remain calm, childbirth is a natural, beautiful thing. best of luck and congrats!!

You don't really see it actually.........You bleed when you pass the plug(not a lot of blood just like spotting).......It depends on labor though you can be in slow labor for up to the time you deliver.....It's when your water breaks that you should go to the hospital......You could get Bactria to the baby or you will have a dry birth

Mine was clear with some pinkish stuff in it. Kinda like jelly consistency. But it shouldn't be "leaking". If it's a constent dribble/flow then you should call your doctor.

No, that's not your plug. When you lose your plug you KNOW IT. It's HUGE and nasty. You need to bring up the discharge to your doctor right away.
