Perhaps not any ref, but that Argentinian ref really got some problem. He's the guy he refed at the England vs. Portugal game, and the two games are amazingly alike.

1. Beckham was pulled off the ground before game ends.
Henry got pulled off too. (ok, this might not have much to do w/ the ref)

2. Rooney got red card.
Zidane got red card.

3. Both games got carried on into Penality kicks. Both teams w/out player expelled won.

Now try to convince me there's nothing wrong w/ that ref, I'll definately laugh!

despite being a zidane fan and feel that there must have being a good reason for the head-butting , i do think the ref did the right thing by showing him the red card.

YES they did because they hold too much power of the game
no matter how good your team is it all depends on the ref he decides the games outcome, this should not be the way of decisions that people and now that there money is involved.take it that a super ref makes the big calls or over ides the refs decision.hey LIKE OUR GOVERNMENT

I dont get your question what was he gonna do pat him on the back. Refs for horrible in this entire world cup and the ref also made a mistake by awarding that joke of a PK in the first place.
