I mean, Palestine started all of this crap and they're trying to eliminate the only civilized country in the Middle East. Israel has to be tough and fight back or they will be destroyed.

This is a great quote. No idea who the source is, but someone posted it earlier:
"If Palestine put down their guns, there would be no war. If Israel put down their guns, there would be no Israel." Palestine doesn't want peace. They want to wipe Israel off of the face of the earth.

I admit that I was not fully informed about this issue and that there is more to it than meets the eye, but many of you are being unreasonable and hateful.

Israel is defending itself.

The state of Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate, desert and swamp, with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads. The inhabitants considered themselves mostly Syrian. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to "Palestine" by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. The same year, the United Nations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. Israel won. That and that alone is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of "Palestine" for the last 58 years. The might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement and development as Israel. 50% of Israel's population now includes refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All were accepted by Israel with open arms and have become successful members of their society. The Palestinians refused to integrate these refugees into their population and instead confined them to "refugee camps". The ones there are now fourth generation and through no fault of Israel.

Hey, here's an idea, why don't the Arabs get these 4th generation refugees and incorporate them into their society? 4th GENERATION?!? That would never happen in a developed nation, including Israel. It shows how incompetant the Palestinians are.

For answer to your main question, you should know as well, US is supporting Israel for a long time, including giving them weapons of mass distractions, political supports, etc.

I am interested to know, how do you think Palestinian started this conflict while Israelis occupied Palestine since WWII till now. Israel try to eliminate all of native population in Palestine and replacing them with Jews immigrants. This is a long term policy, if you didn't heard it before, I'm really sorry for you...!

Palestinian are defense themselves against Zionists barbarism. Several times Palestinian tried to make peace with those Zionists but they found some nonsense excuses to pursuit their main goal. It means wiping Palestine and Palestinian off the map. All the middle east countries are trying to avoid killing innocent people in Palestine while US and some western couturiers don't care to facts and Palestinian rights.

Actually, Israel doesn't want to achieve out any agreement with Palestinian, because Israel wants to occupying all the Palestinian forefather lands and running them out.

I am wonder, how some people like you can't understand Zionists stolen land, killing and running out people everyday...!
Your brain completely washed by media.
If your country was steal by some other people, what's your idea about that?

Also, I think some people are really racist when they say Zionist are god choosen people...!!!! God never choosed Zionists, perhaps he is tolerate them and testing some others that how they are killing innocents on the earth.

Um...you said that Palestine started all this crap, but they didn't. The Jewish invaded Palestine and took over the country. They kick out the citizens and have refused to let them back in. The Palestinians that did stayed are treated horrible. So no I don't support any country that takes over another country, especially in the name of religion.

And one last thing...you said that Palestine wants to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Before 1945, Palestine used to be on the maps. Where is it now?

If Palestinians put down their guns, they would simply live as second class citizens in a land that Arab for centuries until the UN imposed an Israel on the region.

Israel, like any other country today, does some things very well and does some other things pretty poorly. They deserve support for that which coincides with our values, and condemnation (at some level) for those activities that do not.

i do not support both the countries. both are jerks! all you people see right now who is attacking whom. you are not noticing what both are getting through these attacks! i hate all the countries under war! its like they keep killing the innocent and the real culprets go around walking freely!
you are worried about israel! look at afghanistan, iraq, korea, africa! all these places are having loads of wars and the main people who are targets here are innocent people! the people really responsible for this are no where in sight!
israel and palestine both are crazy! they have been fighting for ages now and both have never come to a solution! you cant blame that one of the two is more responsible. they both trigger off a war . its the politicians who are the main reason for fights! they create the environment for fights!
in iraq - americans, british plus the iraqis are dying in the most insane ways! (read about how the soldiers were brutally killed and how the soldiers raped and killed a 14 yrs old girl and then burned her to get rid of evidence)
in afghanistan - people plus soldiers are dying!
in korea - too much tension amongst the locals
in africa - people are gettin payed by politicians to create a terrorist atmosphere killin the innocent. (they killed 2 boys durin the world cup coz they were watchin the world cup, how insane is that?)

so think before you all post! lives are lost everywhere especially the innocent ones! how can kids be responsible for what adults are doing?

Do your homework. Zionists (Israelis) are the invaders of Palestine. The Zionists have oppressed the native population of Palestine for decades. The only path to peace is for the Zionists to recognize that the Palestinians have equal rights.

We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal..... unless of course you are a supporter of Israel and you are referring to a Palestinian, then it seems to be ok to refer to them as less than human.

That quote is excellent.

All folks who are even slighly familiar with the facts of the Arab-Israeli conflict support Israel all the way. Because it's the right and moral and just thing to do.
Israel is fighting for their very survival, like they have been every day for the past 60 years.

Though I partly agree, one point you miss is that the Israel of today is not the God ordained Israel of the Bible. That country was destroyed by the Romans in the year 70 as a result of their deliberate rejection of their true means of salvation.
The Israel of today is a farce. Their faith is, as you backhandedly admit, not in God, but in their guns. True, if those moronic, poorly educated, and greatly exploited/manipulated Palestinians would stop attacking Israel, their lives would improve. Yet as I have dispensed before, they are being manipulated by their leaders.
But do not be misled, this Israel in the middle east is not part of prophetic deliverance of Jews. The Bible points out that a Jew in God's eyes now is anyone who has "circumcision of their heart", not a literal descendant(although they might be by default), of the Jewish race.

Ron Paul helps Israel purely as a lot as the different Republican! he votes NO to many costs that are in "help" of Israel for an similar causes he votes NO on maximum costs in most circumstances! they don't meet his criteria! as of now, we provide two times as a lot money to arab international places than to Israel, sure, the Bush administration AND the Obama administration has, sure, even as the Senate and living house were Democrat AND even as they were Republican. Ron Paul believes in cutting virtually all overseas help thoroughly, yet very last an allie to Israel. he's adverse to each and each and every of the better issues we do for/with Israel. he isn't any longer adverse to being their allie.
