My house is very inviting but very neat at the same time. Before I go to work, I race around the house making sure every thing is picked up. By the time my boyfriend wakes up...everything is pretty much spotless. That way when I get home and I'm pooped I come home to a clean house. And you never know who's going to stop by. I'm not one to give the excuse...sorry my house is such a mess. Though I did say that last week when my neighbor came over...but I had just been pruning a tree and the branches were all over the patio. (I was embarrassed just having that there.)
That's why I would rather have people call before they come over!

p.s. My office is always got some art or craft project going on in there...so that gets a little nerveracking at times. Right now I'm drawing one of me Cat from Cat's Cartoon Land for my stepsisters birthday....Me holding a guitar singing Anticipation by Carly Simon...inside will have all the words to it.
My sister asked for any of her C.D.'s...so I got her Simons
Reflections ~~ Greatest Hits So there papers all over of my sketches....errrr! (I love to make my own cards for people!)

Mostly lived-in. My mother never comes in to hoover in my room, it's so messy there isn't a bit of floorspace to be seen. I can always find what I want, though. Every couple of months I go on a cleaning spree and tidy the place up. Stays that way for about an hour, then...

I like almost neat freak look.
I dated this guy and he was military clean ... I was an explosion ... well, he won, and converted me to being super neat ... now that we're apart, I'll get my place all spiffed up and then intentionally put a few things outta place.
Oh, my "Ex" is my roommate temp. - So, I might be doing this to miff him off slightly, but not enough to have him chase me around with a vacuum cleaner

Kinda both, I have a place for everything, but you don't walk in my house and get the feeling like you can't touch anything.

i think i'd rather live in my house rather than just clean it all the time. so yes, the lived in look works well.
