interesting question. this question has been discussed by many philosophers, including ancient and current philosophers. according to them the fact that you doubt about things is evidence that you exist. i doubt about my own existence, i doubt about my doubt and i doubt about that doubt, and it goes on and on...
if u have no doubt about Ur existence, that is a problem. some times u need to touch ur self, to feel that u exist, some times u need to talk loud to see if u hear ur own voice. Sometimes u need to hit ur self to see if it hurts.. And u need to ask the question "do i exist?" to ur self in order to make sure u exist.
Also you need to interact with others to make sure that you exist. Can you communicate with others? Can you feel others? Can you make others feel you? Then you exist!
Also you need to start a life and produce children to see if you exist! Can "something" come out of nothing? Can you born a life, whose DNA is a match to ur DNA if you don't exist?
As long as u can feel, interect with the world and survive you are considerd as exisiting!

I dont think that it is all that important as to if we exist or not just that the existence that we do have is a good one. We can sit around and debate existence and reality until the cows come home but in the end the only reality is what we make it. And if we make it out to be good and treat each other well and with respect and dignity then I think it all good whether I exist or not. I am because I believe I am.

"I think, therefore I am." Descartes wrote it long ago. The I of your thoughts is, regardless of what illusions your senses may create. You may exist as a thought in God's mind, but simply by being aware of your own existence, you validate it. The tougher question is can that which is end? We know it can change form, lose consciousness, etc. But will consciousness, once achieved, always be, somewhere in space/time? Is the you of the moment forever being on the skein of time? I think, based on thermodynamics as we know it, that you not only are, but always will be, and to the degree that no energy can be created or destroyed may have always been.

interlock your fingers and place behind head. with elbows close together in front of you attempt to hit each elbow with the other. if you can and pain results, you exist.

Because we can make visible, measurable impressions upon other forms of matter and anti-matter.

How do we know if we don't?
