I just turned 14 a few months ago and had my first period three weeks ago. It is time for me to start using a tampon, correct? I have tried inserting one many times but it either hurts to bad or never get in there can andybody help me? I have read all of the instructions and every site that I could find on this kind of thing but nothing has helped. I think a video of a real person demonstrating it would help and not those illistrated ones that i have already looked at. oes anybody know where i can download and view one for free?

You should only use tampons at YOUR own comfort level and speed.. i didnt use them for a long time... and also when you start using them get the Jr. absorbancy they will be smaller and more comfortable..

First of all you should not be using tampons until you have 3 to 4 more periods. Then, when you do so, I suggest you use one that is NOT perfumed or deodorized, as this may cause an allergic reaction and trust me, they're NOT comfortable! Ask your mom to get you a small tube of KY Jelly. Just put a drop on the tip of the tampon and it makes it a LOT easier to get inside and can keep it from hurting. Relax and slowly put the applicator inside as far as it will go, then insert the tampon by pushing the bottom of the applicator up to meet your fingers. Remove the applicator and you are done.

First of all I don't think that you are really 14, this question shoulds like a sick person trying to find porn. But if you are really needing some advice...tampons are not for everyone you should learn the flow of your period before using one but when you think you are ready try lubricating the inserter before using the tampon.

If it hurts or is uncomfortable, just don't use it. I got my period at 13 and now I'm 16 and I still haven't used any. And, if you do decide to use a tampon, be sure your period isn't too light. I heard it's a lot easier and way less painful if your period is sort of heavy when you use one. Hope I could help!

you don't have to use tampons...you can always use pads.
i didn't start using tampons until 5 yrs. after i got my period.
besides in my opinion...sometimes tampons can really be uncomfortable...its like having a stick up in there....

oh and congrats on becoming a young lady:D

OMG they are so EASY. Pads suck. Just put some vaseline on the tip.
