I would first explore.
If I was alone in the sence that I am the only one of my culture (or some other category) I would do my best to adapt to that culture.
If I was alone, no other sentient beings, I would explore around me and adapt.
To understand the outer world you must first look within and know yourself.

I would begin exploring the entire place! If I'm all alone, there's no one to hinder that. It would be awesome. Of course, I'd have to explore where there are things to eat and drink, then I'd just love learning all I could and seeing all I could of the place before someone else showed up. :-)
