I just sent a "?" regarding why white people get angry...I am not racis at all! I was not talking about all white people, but there are some! Let the truth be told people pretend to like us at work & social gatherings.., but in their house its a different story! I am not saying all white people are like this, I'm in the South. You follow my husband in the store and watch him like a hawk because of his hair, etc..But you are not racis, if you don't want to be labeled as racis, than stop saying your not and show you are not in your actions. There is good and bad in every race and I am sick and tired of some white people saying, "I am not racis", If you hate us so much, why do you tan to look like us? To all the ignorant white people, you are shallow to think we all are ignorant and will allow you to treat us that way.You reap what you sew! Stop calling us African Americans we are "Black Americans". You will never be able to relate to us or our history, so no I won't "get over it"

Why are you still going on about the same B.S. ? That's 4 out of your 5 questions being about white people. Read my questions and see how many times I have made any racial comments or started any racial issues like you keep doing. NONE !

Ignorance is all over and it's a fact it's been something that has been going on for a long long time. You are right and as long as someone thinks there better then another it will not change. All we can do is change the things we can and let the rest go. I understand your frustration and share in it with you. Don't let ignorant people get to you they can't help what they were taught but as adults and young people they can change. Many won't Its truly sad. You go girl there are many behind you. There are other races that have the same problem also and it's all wrong.

I'm in the South too and yes there are still issues but I think you are a little off base but in the right direction.
Things are not as bad as say 20 years ago where ppl were like you said,... not in my home. I don't know any white ppl today that feel would have any problem with a person of color in their homes.
Ok with that said, the problem that I see a lot is that white ppl actually truly believe they are not racist. They don't seem to be willing to come to terms or accept their prejudices. And yes they do exist in the majority of white ppl in the south. I, being white, hear this all the time.
It is very common to have a conversation like this:
person A "im not a racist at all. I have no problem with black ppl"
person B "me either. I dont believe in any type of discrimination"
person A "me too BUT I dont like how those black ppl want to live off welfare and make me have to pay for them having a bunch of kids"
person B "yeah I know and why are they always griping about equality. We have given them equal rights. Its up to them to work hard now like we all had to."
person A "yeah they just dont appreciate how good they have it"
person B "yeah"
This is a typical conversation between 2 white southern male/females about black ppl.
For one they have no clue about the affects of oppression and secondly, they don't even realize their own prejudices.

having worked in retail for years I can assure you we follow everyone like a hawk no matter what race, you will be suprised how many people in business suits will shoplift.
Whites get tans because its what the consumer culture potrays as beautiful. And how does that imitate black? Tan skin is the usual look of whites anyways in the summer aswell as many white people. So according to you blacks want to be white since they straighten there hair, speak english a european language, and yes buy cream to lighten there skin?

Having lived in Alabama, you and your husband do indeed make a very good point. He IS being targeted racially whether they admit it or not. Unfortunately, I have also noticed reverse racism in the south. That has a lot to do with the reason I left Alabama. The racism and biggotry were horrible. I invite you to come to Fayetteville, Arkansas. It's a LOT better up here and there are more jobs open than any place else in the USA.

hmm.. some of the most racist people have been Black Americans because they are the ones that recognize this fictional division. Both whites and blacks are guilty in this case, we've all been racist at one time whether we want to admit it or not. It seems like some blacks like yourself believe that all white Americans owe some apology to you because of what their ancestors did. It's not the case, learn from the past, realize that being racist in this country also extends to the anti-immigration sentiment in the country along with other racist sentiments all around the world that arent dealing with blacks vs whites.

Most people that r racist usually r the ones cryin out they're not or they always have that line i have a couple black friends. And i know what u mean i'm from an all white hick town. so i know how people act to your face and behind your back. i'm white and my husband is black and we have 2 kids. i'm sure people talk about us but i really don't care. i know i have beautiful children and a loving husband! so just ignore it. i know it's hard to do but most the people that talk like that r usually scary anyway!

I'm white, and I really don't give a rat's @ss what color I am, what color you are or what color anyone else is. It's skin pigmentation, nothing more. You have a serious issue with your "history" and will never be able to get past this by talking to us honkies the way that you have in this little spill of yours! There are MANY people out there that don't have a problem with blacks, myself being one, but I will tell you from experience....blacks are the one's with the attitudes. They spend most of their life defending themselves by throwing up "history" in everyone's face that they don't take the time to look and see that no one is even treating them wrong in the first place! You will probably hate me after this, and I don't blame you...but you need to wake up and realize that we live in a world where blacks think that if we don't give them a job, or vote them in office that we are being "racist". In reality, if blacks would get out there and work a little harder to know the white people instead of criticizing us for what our ancestors did, then maybe more people would like them and vote them into more offices and hire them without feeling like they have to b/c of racial remarks from the blacks!! Quit hating on us. I think blacks are more racist than white's by far..........
