Some people who keloid start with small tattoos in inconspicuous places to see how it turns out. Sometimes there will not be a problem and other times the raised skin under the tattoo can make it look three dimensional. Some people think this is cool looking. However, if the keloid looks very bad and you must have it removed, you would have to wait over a year to have that area retattooed and it may just keloid again. I would definatly recommend talking to your dermatologist first.

The tattoo will cause scarring and the scarring would mess up the tattoo.
