is it hard to get the post office jobs?

I use to work as a mail carrier and it wasn't fun at all. The first day I got there the postmaster approached me and I taught he was going to welcome me or something like that however he was rude and the only thing he said was "If you get into a car accident or get bit by a dog you are fire." Now how rude is that!! Well that started it all I didn't feel comfortable working for a person like that. Anyways you do get good pay but to me it was not worth it. I had dogs chasing me and very rude people (customers) and the people that work inside are like robots. That's why they all go postal. I already quit could not stand my supervisors because they kept pushing me to be faster and let me tell you I was faster than them. The other thing all people I met while working with them had issues. They had health problems also(limps, carpal tunnel, bad backs and personal problems as a matter of fact the manager's son was found dead in the back of his truck.) It was just too much for me. I have more horror stories but I think that's enough for now. Maybe it's just that post office but I chose that office because it was one of the best in the OC.yeah the OC!!!And it took me around 8 months to get in there not bad compare to other people that takes them like 1 -2 years. Maybe it was just my LUCK!!!

I agree with the first 2 answer. Go for better job, nobody likes it and the pay is not good too. Go for the internet business, which requires less of your time and the one that will not make you feel headache with web designing, or which require IT knowledge. Second, choose the internet based company which offer you the opportunity and at the same time giving you the convenience to start the business. Third, choose the business, which does not require big money to start it.

My dad, brother in law and best friend's husband all work for the post office and they all HATE it. They work ten and twelve hour days and often six days a week. It's really unionized and something always seems to be going on. The benefits aren't what they used to be either. My dad's retirement package is WAY different than what the other guys get, and that's even different from what new guys coming in are getting.

Set some higher goals for yourself. Get a college education.
