I don't think so! Your ethnicity can be white or Latino or whatever but you heritage may go back to American Indian or Irish, for example

Ethnicity is your race, a more broader definition--people of European descent are Caucasian/White, people of central American descent are Hispanic/Latino, people of Asian descent are Asian, people of African descent are African/Black, people of Middle Eastern descent are Middle Eastern, etc... It's all based on continents.

Now narrowing down the term, heritage is where your ancestors had come from within the continents, or the countries. Heritage is usually mixed between certain countries within one continent or certain countries within more.
