Gay is an adjective, not a noun. And technically, it can apply to either sex. I will say that I prefer gay men, on account of the fact that I am one.

Not sure why you ask - as it boils down to how many lesbian people read this and answer and how many gays read this and answer. For what it's worth I prefer neither, even though I have sex and intimate relationships with the same sex. Simply because I hate stereotyping and think people should be free to explore who they are without having to belong to a straight, gay, lesbian or bi grouping.

I'm a lesbian, so I prefer other women. I have lots of friends, lesbian and gay and straight.

Lesbians. But a quick question, what's the difference? I know a lot of girls who say they identify as gay, but then others (like myself) who identify as a lesbian. Does it make a difference?

I am a straight female. That being said let me tell you all I am a fag hag beyond belief. My best friend is a gay man and if I could I would hang out with gay men and women over straight men and women. They are just more fun and laid back!!!!!

Beside like the old saying goes without gay men us fat girls would have no best friends...LOL!!!!!!

Lesbians (like straight men) cannot be my sexual partners - so on that basis I would say gay. However, to me it's the person that counts not the sexuality.

Gay! Are you nutz!

Actually I like both, but only sleep gay with my sweet hubby-bubby.

Although, I do love flirting shamelessly with my lesbian friends. It's completely harmless fun, y'know?

Which do I prefer for what? I mean, as a friend, coworker, neighbour, sales assistant, bus driver, doctor, etc., etc., etc., either one will do.

As a couple, neither one, because I'm straight. But I have to admit lesbians and I have something in common. We both like women. ;-)
