A lot of people want to end the Bill of rights, too, if you change the wording a little. The fact that suffrage has become a seldom-used word in current society is not particularly significant.
""In 2004, The Man Show roamed the streets of New York City attempting to convince people sign a petition to "end women's suffrage" as a gag arising from the confusion between "suffrage" and "suffering". Numerous men and women happily signed only to learn they had been fooled on camera.""

Women should always be allowed to vote, so ending women's suffrage would not be a good idea.
