Keep them very clean, and don't take the studs out for any reason (except infection) for at least a couple months. You should rotate them often. Right now, your body is going to be trying to "heal" that area and the skin will start to grow over top of the earrings if you don't move them (my sister had that problem after getting her ears pierced). So just any time you think about it, twist them a little bit. Use alcohol to clean them at LEAST once a day for the first month or so. After that, you should be fine. Don't wear regular earrings until your holes look like they've healed a lot and don't bleed or anything at all. And for the next month or two, ONLY wear pure metals like gold or silver. If you wear alloy metals that contain nickel or aluminum, it could cause an infection because the cartilidge (sp?) is still so senstive. Your holes might always be senstive though, like mine. I can't wear non-gold/silver earrings for more than a day ever or my ears start to itch and get uncomfortable. But most people don't have a problem after a couple months.

. After you have your ears pierced, you must wash the area with soap daily and use isopropyl alcohol on both sides of the ear at least twice a day. It is also a good idea to use an antibiotic ointment every night for the first week. This is available over-the-counter at most drug stores or supermarkets. A triple antibiotic is preferred, but Bacitracin ointment will also work. These are available in a generic brand which works as well as the more expensive brand names.
You should start by wearing only gold earrings first. Some people will find they are allergic to any other metal. Rotate the earrings at least twice a day to keep the holes free from scabbing. You must not removed the earrings for at least three to four weeks until the skin is healed. During the first year you should wear earrings most of the time to keep the holes from closing. Newly pieced ears will close up quickly at first if you do remove your earrings.

You should leave the studs in for 4 to 6 weeks. Don't remove them even for cleaning. You should also clean your earlobes twice a day, every day for the first week with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol. This is the best time to rotate the stud in your ear.

keep the studs you got your ears pierced with, in for 6 weeks. Put new studs in (or the old ones) in your ears for another 5 weeks. If your ears dont get innfected and if they dont mind studs, you can change them into "real" earrings. Rotate them throughout the day. I rotate my second hole continusely wothout even knowing im doing it. Well good luck. :)

Cartilage is often sore for longer than a lobe piercing (or maybe an eyebrow piercing). reason being is cartilage is a extra strong tissue than different piercings, it takes slightly longer for it to regulate to the jewellery in it, and on the grounds that it is your ear, odds are you're likely slumbering on it no matter if you recognize it or no longer. provide it a week or so and see you later as you dont tutor indicators of an infection do not hardship about it. keep it sparkling and the soreness will eventually bypass away. in case you had it executed with a piercing gun although, it will be sore for a lot longer than it must be in case you would it executed with a needle. no matter if that is critically sore, and became executed with a piercing gun, you've shattered cartilage. **obviously each and each and every of the individuals keeping that is contaminated and to bypass to the Dr. hasn't ever had a cartilage piercing executed, nor are they professional piercers.

keep cleaning. i suppose rotating them twice a day would probably make sure it doesnt stick. as for the ugly studs, u can probably take them out after 3 months and put in cute stuff AS LONG as they are hypo-allergenic for abouter 3 months until u can put in whatever metal earrings u want AS LONG as they are cleaned.

keep them in for 6 weeks...probably wouldn't hurt to twist em every once in a while and definitely clean them at least once a day...you won't need to more than twice. did you get cleaning stuff from the lady at least? If not, go to a place that does piercings, even like Claire's and get some.
sorry the lady was dumb with the lack of instructions she gave you!

Keep them clean at all times, use the anticeptic lotion that they give you while cleaning them rotate it, take it off only like a week later, and do it fast leaving them out dry will close the hole fast or it may be difficult should you wanna use your earrings.
