I've grown up most of my life having the mindset that sex is an indecent bad thing.
Why is sex so taboo? It's an act of nature, an instinct in a sense. To some it's for procreation, to some it's for the ultimate display of affection, and to others it's for a good feeling. What's to be embarrassed about?
Explain to me why you think that is to others or why it is to you.

They fear intimacy. Upbringing probably has alot to do with it as well. Parents afraid that if their children show curiosity about sex as a young person that others will think it is a reflection of their parenting. Therefore they scold their child for their actions when all they are is harmless. Unfortunate really.

The media has overdone what sex is. This leads "puritans" to try and shelter everyone away from it. It's a mindset that is usually passed down from generation to generation. You have to break the chain. Teach your kids about sex early. Pass on the right knowledge.

Sex can be good and it can be bad. It is good when it's two people in love and they are showing it to each other. Or maybe when two people are attracted to each other and can't resist each other. People who think sex before marriage is wrong usually feel that way because of their religous beliefs. I myself think that people who think it's a dirty subject are prudes and they need to get a life. Sex is a part of life whether some people like it or not. And I think as long as you are safe, if you and your partner are ready, then go for it.
