This is a good question. In addition to college education, there are other criteria that determine earnings.

Part of the answer depends on what majors are pursued by each sex. Liberal arts is not going to pay as much as investment banking.

There is still an old boys network in the top corporations which may survive despite the gender disproportion in education.

Part of the answer depends on what percentage of each sex takes time off to raise the children.

I still see more women quiting their profession to raise children and other women who take minor jobs just to bring in some additional income.

No. Many of these article do not covery the whole truth. There are less men in college because more men are finding well to high paying jobs without an advance degree. Many of these jobs pay $30,000 or more, starting salary.

I'll be happy when women start earning the same pay as men. Let's get to that point first.
