It's impossible to answer this question because Atheists are a diverse group of people. The only thing they share is their disbelief in God(s).

In what do people with brown eyes have faith?

there is no curch of atheism. I think some people join atheist/agnostic clubs etc... but the only reason they come together is because they are excluded and need to form arguments against the theistic imposition.

I don't think there's a generalizeable way to pick what a typical atheist is. We could do surveys, and find the mean, mode, median types... But any decision there would be likewise arbitrary -- if we just assume the majority defines the category.

We have faith in the normal world like normal people. Like, I have faith when I put my wet clothes in the dryer, when I come back they will be there, and they will be dry.

Which is to say, I assume a case based on evidence in the past, probabilities... and the general consistency of inductive or statistical truths.

Imagine that.

atheism, i don't believe that there is a true atheism, that being; not only the belief that there is no god but that there is no power higher than themselves, every day people pray, not always in a conventional sense, actually hardly ever in a conventional sense,,, "please make the bus", "i hope the annoying person at work does not talk to me", and my personal favorite "I'm going to buy a lottery ticket", though you can argue they are putting faith in chance it is not true, by the mere effort of passing on your daily events you are putting them into the hands of some power not of your own, thus a "higher power",

what atheists are basically, is a bunch of emo kids, they cannot find an outlet to make themselves different from the crowd so they conform into a "non belief" then b**** and complain that no one understands them, their only faith is in that they are individuals, individuals who more than often can be found speaking their tired ethos in coffee shops and bars, in short they have faith but it is not their own or what they preach.

personally, i only know a fraction of what i have faith in, i have faith in my friends and the thought that we all have an inherent moral system, as far as "structured" faith, i am agnostic, so a belief system taken from experience and knowledge accumulated as i go.

side note: please don’t lump agnostic with atheist, there is a difference between not believing in god and not believing that we need an organized religion to base our belief structure

All of us, including atheists, have faith that when we make a left turn we will not be hit by a truck. Atheists just don't have faith that anyone mortal has knowledge of universal origins. Do you have proof to convince them otherwise?

Belief in anything for which there is no evidence (faith) is not just useless "information" but is counterproductive to obtaining the knowledge and understanding that rational thinking demands and on which human progress depends.

What we believe determines our choices. Without the certainty that only proven knowledge can provide and by relying instead on faith, we are left to stumble through life with a self-imposed distorted perception of reality. The knowledge we require to live is not always easy to obtain but faith only acts to corrupt what knowledge we have with wishful "thinking".

Do I have faith in my ability to live one more day? Such a guarantee simply does not exist. Life is a treasure we must continuously cherish and do our best to maintain. Faith provides us only with fear, justified by ignorance and borne of the refusal to accept life on its own terms. It is by relying on our only hope, the full and complete exercise or our ability to reason that we learn to appreciate and value the joy of living one more day.

Faith is forcing yourself to believe in something you are not quite sure of. I have faith in pain, love, and tenderness. I have faith in happiness.

I have faith in the good in all people and all things. It is deep within everyone and it is this that keeps our world going.

Faith in Myself.

And that everything happens for a reason, even if you can't see what that reason is straight away.
