That's a tough question because technology keeps getting better and better and new things come out every year.
I'd have to say the best systems of all time are NES and GAMEBOY.
Gameboy in its different forms particularly has sold more units than any other system and SONY WALKMAN.
If I had to choose my favorite system of all time, it would be a tossup between Playstation and XBOX (though PS3 and XBOX360 are inherently better).
If you go to WIKIPEDIA.com you can read about all the game systems of all the 7 generations. You may see some you haven't heard of and learn things you didn't know like "why Dreamcast and Saturn failed" or what happened to ATARI.

I have to say the original Nintendo...even now they are trying to remake the games.
Glitches smitches, all systems have a glitch. I'd rather play nintendo any day!

i always liked atari
and nintendo was fun when it first cam out
but know i have to say playstation because it has the most games for that system of them all

playstation 6.. its got virtual reality so u feel like ur in the game.. if u get shot it actually bruises ur chest and u can even smell the badguys. its pretty sweet. too bad u gotta wait another 15 years for it but its gonna kick ***.

stick with the PC! and you have high stake of being the best for a longer period! that's until your specs is outdated!!
if your looking for console SONY! is the best!!!!
