Am I the only one annoyed by this nonesense? Sure I can decipher it but why? Is this lazy, illiterate, what's the deal?

If this is meant to be phonetic i'd be surprised. I'd be surprised if the people typing this stuff know what phonentic means.

However, it is my opinion, that the new "computer/text message/cell phone" generation believes it is "cool" to make a mess of grammar & spelling; much like the "hippies" of the 60's adding new words , (IE: "Groovy", "Cool", ),to change society's "English".
I actually am not too concerned with kids coming up with a "retarded Pig Latin". If they show a modicrum of manners, and they can get there point across, then "bully" for them!
(Although I must admit, generally, I don't answer Q from people who can't hit the "spell-check" button! lol)

sure, I believe you. that's authentic that i have were given some very strong and efficient friends from Yahoo solutions. i'm grateful to them inquisitive about being my friends. I easily have learnt now that distance isn't a aspect in friendship. i do not understand why you're leaving, yet I want you ought to reassess your determination.

Absolutely. This sort of thing has been a pet peeve of mine ever since I saw it years ago.
I always attribute it to a lack of intelligence. It doesn't save much time, so they must not be able to spell things properly without thinking too hard.

I have 2 university degrees and I don't know what "Phonentic" means either. Other mistakes:

ok so here's the deal:
it's the teens that are doing it... and just like when we were teens we had our slang.. well they have theirs. The difference is that we didn't have a "virtual world" to make slang for... they do. It's normal and healthy of them. Just take a deep breath and move on.

I agree with you! It seems like only a few % can spell on a first grade level! Duh like. And it's a shame our culture has stooped to this by certain people.
