My cell phone plan says I have 1 MB of internet usage, but my phone will only tell me how many bytes i have used. How can I figure out when i have reached 1 MB in terms of bytes?

1 kilobyte = 1,024 bytes.
1 megabyte = 1,024 kilobytes.

So 1 megabyte = 1,048,576 bytes. (1,024 x 1,024)
Occasionally the fine print might say that 1 megabyte = 1 million bytes. You might watch out for that.

The conversion factor is 1,024.

1024 bytes = 1kb
1024 kilobytes = 1 mb

and so on.
