I was raised with Traditional Chinese way of healing.
Our people are very vibrant and full of health. I see
americans that are very very ill, but they refuse true
medicine as nature intended. Why? Do they enjoy
being sick? There is a reason why certain cultures
enjoy much better health and it is not genes i can
tell you that.

I am an american and I do believe you, I can't say that I have alot of information on other types of health treatments. I think the government and drug companies want it that way because they take so much of our money for medicine. They put it in americans heads that if they don't take the medicine we will be sicker. So people believe if they take natural things it won't help as much.

I think it stems from a society that was science driven. If the doctor didn't create it, it wouldn't work. Look at the history of health care in America and there is the answer. Also, chemicals can be "proven". Natural or traditional healing is harder to prove and understand. One has to beleave and trust. Part of the Chinese and other Asian culture is natural healing. Everyone grew up with it and that is what they trust and use. The same trust is in the US, only it is a trust in drugs rather than natural and sometimes more effective remidies.

I hate to tell you that some things cant be helped with herbs. I was 8 yrs old when i got diagnosed with rheumitod arthritis, I have it in EVERY joint in my body. When i was 16, I tried taking natural medication. It didn't work, i almost ended up in a wheel chair because of it. You shouldn't be on here advising people not to take medication that helps them, its not right. If you had something that was going to kill you our make you crippeled, when your natural medications didnt work, then you would be crawling to the doctor begging for a prescription drug. I do think that herbal remidies can help for somethings though, and that some doctors do just push pills that people dont need, but some people actually need it.

It is terrible and Americans are dying from 3 top causes heart attack, cancer and stroke. I hear that there is not much of this in China. The 4th leading cause is medications. 40% of meds are for the side effects of other medications.

Here is my site on natural healing. Let me know how I can improve it. The Chinese have lasted thousands of years. Our society is going broke with health care costs.

americans aren't as in tune with their bodies as other cultures. probably something to do with how commercialized everything is in our society, and how everything is a commodity. we are conditioned to believe if we buy the latest and greatest (fill in the blank), our lives will be better. this transfers over to medicine, also. we are given an rx for a magical pill and believe it will fix things. it is more "convenient" to have a quick "fix" than to educate ourselves as to what the underlying health problem is. after all, americans are very fast-paced and want things done the "easy" way. also, the drug companies spend a TON of money on advertising, and doctors often have no qualms with pushing the pills. since americans are suckers for advertising, they buy it all and don't look into alternatives. i know i am generalizing. this is just my opinion...

I have no clue. The last time I was to a doctor who prescribed me "maintenance medications" was 2003. She doubled the dose of what I was already taking and wrote prescriptions for several other ones. I haven't taken anything since that day, and I feel fine. One of the meds was for "kidney failure" due to "blood in my urine." I had just started my period that day and I hadn't had a chance to grab a tampon! Give me a break! Imagine how sick I would be if I was taking all that stuff!

Because Americans are weak-minded. And It's because the phamacy company of the world is a big "drug dealer". They are greedy and money hungry. They give you drugs that temporary cures your problem, and then gets you dependent on them. Once you are dependent, then the have more control. The phamacy company produces drugs, and once you taken them, they will give you something else, and then it's another pill you have to take to be comfortable. (i.e. this company that i won't mention its name, make a allergy medicine for pollen..whatever... if you stop taken them you will get hives. and coincedently, the other medicine they make are hives medicine.
