This is vague, but I feel like it was from a classic writer, and it's point was that an always changing mind is not a sign of stupidity but of intelligence. May have used the word fickle or ever changing. May have had a political vibe. Thanks for any help.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds" in "Self Reliance". Is that what you recall?

Might get an answer if you put it in the philosophy section which is under the "Arts & Humanities" section... Try the "Religious" section, also...?
