I have to choose a major, but don't know which one. I want to do anything that deals with chem., but I want to know

Who gets paid good Chemist or Biochemist? Their salary?

I only like chem b/c I was doing very good in it compare to other classes, especially in Organic Chem. thats why I am making chemistry my major. I don't have a lot of knowledge of lab material ( I mean I am bad at chemistry lab work ), but the manipulation of the compound structure and everything else , I was good at.
And since I like biology too, I was thinking of doing Biochemistry.

How will I get job and where will I get it?

Any advice would be truly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are choosing it based on salary, up it to chemical engineering, lol... like people say, what's the difference between a chemistry major and a chemical engineer? $20k a year. Otherwise, both chemist and biochemist are pretty similar so I would pick it by what you're interested in. Because if you're not enjoying what you're learning, then you'll either change majors or hate your job...

It doesn't matter. There is a 60% chance your job will have nothing to do with your degree, so go for the one that interests you the most in the first place. You only live once...listen to your heart, make a decision, and stick with it.

My gut feeling says BIOCHEMISTRY. I bet it would be a lot more interesting.

I'm going into chemistry, but seriously, you will probably change your mind no matter what you pick.
