Being a member team in the National football Conference North makes the Chicago Bears a likely candidate to win the NFC -NORTH only because it is a weak division.

With injury prone Rex Grossman scheduled to start, da bears, will have a struggling season. And, with no first round draft pick and a weak offense the whole schedule for Chicago will hinge on the second half of the season and whether or not Bret Favre and the Green Bay Packers fall apart.

I am not impressed with the Detroit Lions or the Minnesota Vikings.

NFC-North...early prediction

Chicago Bears
Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings
Detroit Lions.

Chicago will take the NFC North Division

With question surrounding Rex Grossman, everyone seems to forget that the Bears picked up Brian Griese in the offseason. This adds depth at the QB position with two QBs that can scare defenses and Kyle Orton who should get more accolades for doing as well as he had in a rookie season being put in a very difficult situation.

Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson will secure the running game with Adrain Peterson providing the change of pace game that will keep rush defenses on their heels. Muhsin Muhammad will have a veteran QB under center, which will improve his chances to return to his old form of being a #1 WR. Mark Bradley, Airese Currie, and Bernard Berrian will all be vying for the #2 and slot WR positions, which could make this unit one of the league's overall fastest.

The offensive line remains intact with Olin Kreutz anchoring the center and guys like Terrence Metcalf, John Tait, Roberto Garza, Fred Miller, and Ruben Brown will be able to hold back the defensive push from opposing teams.

The defense returns with all starters intact. Adding Ricky Manning Jr. to the secondary adds to the pass defense potential provided by Nathan Vasher and Charles Tillman. Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, and Hunter Hillenmeyer will have the middle of the field locked up ... Urlacher will also be wanting to put opposing team members on stretchers. Adewale Ogunleye, Tommie Harris, Ian Scott, and Alex Brown will bring the initial pass and rush defense hard upon less experienced or more vulnerable O-lines.

Robbie Gould could easily sneak in as a high tier kicker, building his leg strength over the off season as well as improving his accuracy at longer distance kicks. The Special Teams Unit got a boost with the addition of Seattle's Alex Bannister, who helped bring his old team's ST to a higher level. Look to see Devin Hester and Bernard Berrian to augment the return game, especially after Hester's comments about wanting to become one of the league's most feared returners in the game.

Lovie Smith, Ron Turner, and Ron Rivera will all have improved game plans ready for the upcoming season. Personally, I would like to see Rivera adapt some of the 46 Defense brought in and mixed with his take on the Cover 2 style. It may look weird at first, but it could actually make featured opponents like New England, Miami, and Tampa Bay easier to take care of or even outright manhandle.

Chicago will go 14-2 this season, locking up the first round BYE so they will rest their starters and letting the last game go (but it will be against Green Bay ... so maybe 15 -1 instead).

Chicago is poised to make a solid run in the playoffs and can even position themselves for the NFC spot in Super Bowl XLI.

we are able to truly get to the playoffs, Minn isn't greater effective then Da Bears, and GB isn't any the place close to a similar point. as for the receiver "issure" that isnt even a controversy. if we didnt have a our great receiving rb or our great TE corp. then the receiver place could have problems as a results of fact to plenty is per them. yet we do have that great receiving rb and those great TE's so their would be much less stress on the WR's to hold the offense. Hester could have a competent if no longer great three hundred and sixty 5 days. he had low numbers final three hundred and sixty 5 days in basic terms as a results of fact kyle orton neglected him extensive OPEN i think of its stated around 12 cases if not greater the place he could have been long gone and if those passes could have been thrown via cutler who has the flexibility to get it to him everywhere and every time he could have been between the greater effective receivers interior the league, im no longer asserting ultimate yet rather between the greater effective receivers interior the league. and then with the relationship between earl bennett and cutler it somewhat is only going to make us greater effective as a results of fact that earl has an business enterprise carry close of the play e book this three hundred and sixty 5 days and the flexibility to be extensive for this team. rasheid davis had an off three hundred and sixty 5 days final three hundred and sixty 5 days, he would be lower back to the good rasheid and could practice to the followers it replaced right into a competent pass to maintain him around. the newbies we've all be able to come again in and make contributions this three hundred and sixty 5 days, it actual relies upon on them gaining knowledge of the e book and only Knox could make this a right receiving corp. an prolonged a minimum of playoff and ability superbowl contender.

They'll win the division again if Green Bay doesn't....yeah I said it...Green Bay will have a shot at it again....Lets face it...The Lions seriously...who would pick the Lions? Vikings losing Moss and Culpepper in back-to-back seasons can't be good for their team, give them a year or two...that leaves the Packers...Favre's last year...Gado and Green for the back field (Hopefully Gado...Green is going downhill) ...they lost Walker....eh...not a big deal, they have Rod Gardner and that neat Greg Jennings to back up worthy #1 Donald Driver...plus...a defense that was #7 overall last year and only got better...they aren't looking as bad as people think they are...My advice to NFL teams that play them...be careful....
