"The Star Spangled Banner"--bar none. Recorded LIVE at Woodstock, the radical guitar sounds Jimi made on that very moment were pure experimentation--sounds never before discovered were with that performance.

Jimi was very clear headed/drug and alcohol free when he did the song to; anybody with a trained ear for music knows this, too.

Hendrix's "The Star Spangled Banner", without a word uttered, musically painted a portrait of the current overall social/political dynamics of the radical changes in life; the pro and/or anti sentiments and strifes focused on the Vietnam war....and left to question what lay ahead for society as time moved on, as the last note drew out before stopping cold.

Red House. When I first heard this tune back in '68, I couldn't get over how the sound was so far-out. The rhythm line was straight classic electric blues, and Jimi's riffs were just out of this world, nothing I had ever heard till that point. But when it comes to Jimi, all of his stuff was great. My question to anybody is this: Can you name me a song by Jimi Hendrix that sucked? Chances are that if you really knew what he was all about, and really knew his music. The answer from everyone would always be - - - NO.

Only the goof-offs would say silly crap and answer - - - Yes

House of the Rising Sun- At first we played it as an interlude for my marching band (kind of geeky I know, but I live in the south where black people don't come to see the football game), and I got interested in how the original sounded. I found it, paid for the download, and have been listening ever since. He was a genius on the guitar.

Star Spangled Banner- The most original and creative way played to date. It gives me chills when I listen to it. It is powerful!

Love or Confusion and that i do not stay today are likely my favorites. i'm a sucker for that first album. i love the lyrics on both one in each and every of them, no longer to tutor the groundbreaking guitarwork and creative feedback.
