And don't give me anything that I already know. Because I know everything mainstream. I don't LIKE everything mainstream but it gets kinda boring after awhile. And nothing like Green Day or Hellogoodbye. Sorry for being picky. Hehe.

Just to give you a hint...
Mainstream stuff I like is Alice in Chains, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Sevendust, Fuel, etc. Good alternative. DONT GIVE ME ANYTHING PUNK OR EMO. I've already gone through that.

I wanted to recommend something I could give you a link to... Go to: http://www.tomnouga.se/, click on "Sounds," and click on "Alonely." (You will have to page down a bit). The band's name is "Nightingale," and the singer is Dan Swano. Their other songs are usually faster, more "rock," but "Alonely" will really give you a taste... I wish ;)... of Dan's voice. Tom Nouga is Dan's brother and bandmate, and he is the one with the website... Dan is just the heart of the talent! Other projects by Dan include Edge of Sanity (band name, mostly gruff vocals, I love it, but just FYI), Moontower (album), Unicorn (band), and he guests on a bunch of other projects including Ayreon (band, with Arjen Lucassen, which makes for some interesting "space metal" if you think you would like that)! I am curious to know what you think.

If that totally bombs, I would recommend Sentenced, anything from Crimson, The Funeral Album, or Frozen. Also, try Paradise Lost... their newest absolutely rules... self-titled album. If you are looking for something more mellow, I would recommend Anathema or Dali's Dilemma. Have fun :))

*ADDED LATER: Did you check out these bands yet? At least did you go to the link I gave you? Just wondering... because you put up new details after I posted my answer.

Can you give us an idea of what kind of stuff you do like?? There is tons of styles out there. Try going to www.pandora.com and type in the name of a few artists you like to make a radio station of your own. I have found tons of good stuff that way. I never like the same ol shyte on the mainstream radio stations so I used to find it hard to find new music too.

But if you mention a style or some bands in additional details in your question it would help people to know what to suggest.
