Cute but the area code 666 is not assigned.
If you really got a call it was likely 606 or 660 or 669 or something else that appeared to be 666 666 6666

Just dont worry - You did not get a call from hell!!!..LOL... It was just some telemarketer -using software to disguise their caller ID. There are softwares/services available which can disguise the callers real number to any number of their choice. In my opinion these are mostly offshore comapnies trying to evade the "Do Not Call" registry and avoid the US laws.
Othe issue could be by accepting 1 to continue service you may be giving consent such as charged call or could be anything. So just simply ignore the calls.

No, I haven't. Maybe its some kind of telemarkerter with a dialer. I know when they call out, random numbers come on the caller id. So stop worrying about that, its just a number.

I don't know exactly how to do it, but I know you're able to mask your phone number with an alternate number (Of your choosing) when you call someone, so that the ID reads that number instead of yours.
That's probably all it was. People pull pranks like that all the time.

It is something you can do off of an internet website. My kid did it to me. I thought the number was freaky so I didnt answer, but I did listen to the voicemail. It said "you need to give your kids more freedom, this is your wake up call" it was done in a spooky computer generated voice. She admitted it, but wont tell me how to do it!

no - but I have had a number 000-000-0000 - figure that one out ;0) - who knows - your best bet - call your phone carrier and have all international calls blocked for incoming and outgoing - otherwise I really don't know what to tell you - just weird I guess
