I have a close friend. I love and respect him much. I completely believe in him. But one day he told me that he did not believe in me. I asked him why. He just said that I believe in Nobody in life.
I am very sad. I think that a good friendship or any relationship should be based on faith / belief. I told him that if he did not believe in me, we said goodbye. He smiled and said : It 's up to you. If you want to make friends, ok. If you do not want, you can say good bye. I myself never say goodbye to anybody but I never believe in anybody. what should I do?

I think you should continue the friendship and prove to this friend that it's good to believe in people. Don't pressure him on the subject, just continue to be a good friend. Some day he will look back and realize that he did believe in you and you made a difference in his life.

Think about the things you might have said or done to him that might have hurt him .Or be with him at a place which is your type , place where you both feel comfortable & no one to disturb , talk to him with all your faith . say even the least thing about your relation talk it out this would definately help you.

Actions speak louder than words...stop talking about it and show him!
