I haven't seen it yet, but was it good? Some of the reviews are strange like saying that it wasn't what they expected. For example, one said "I went in singing 'Yo-Ho' and came out saying 'So-So'." But does eveyone agree with this statement?

I thought it was a great movie, a different feel than the first even though both were directed by Gore Verbinski. I think a lot of the critics were expecting it to include the same kind of action as the first. There's action in "Dead Man's Chest" but it's different, which makes it all the more exciting. Special effects were fantastic, no cheesiness. Lots of funny parts, too. They overdid it a little on the rum jokes, but if that's my only complaint, then it can't be that bad!
The only other thing I can say vaguely without spoiling it is the "end" isn't really an ending and it leaves you with one big unanswered question (to which I nearly fell out of my seat when it happened). It makes you want to see the third one for closure. Unfortunately, we have to wait until May 2007 to see it!

It was the best movie ever!!!! Depp and Bloom are absolutely gorgeous!!!! I've already seen it three times and i'm dying to see it again!!! I think people are dumb for saying it sucked or that it was too long. I mean really what were they expecting? They can't just redo the first movie cuz that would be boring! I was entertained and it had a very original storyline that kept you on your toes till the very end!!! Can't wait till the third!!!

OMG, I LOVED the movie... I've now seen it twice, and even the second time is excellent... I can't wait until the third movie: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End... IT COMES OUT (preliminarily) May 25, 2007...YAY!

The movie was amazing. Johnny Depp does a good job and he does such a good job getting into character, he is amazing and really personifies my idea of a swankey, swash-buckeling pirate. The movie gets 2 thimbs up!

I haven't been able to see the 2nd movie yet. I just recently saw the first one over at my cousin's house so I would be able to go see the 2nd one when it came out. I really can't wait to see it though!

I loved the movie. It was very good. If you decide to see it, make sure you stay for ALL the end credits. There is a little something extra after them.

I liked it!!!! I like the first one better, but this one is a lot darker than the first. I think the characters (except Jack) were better in the new one. It is really hard to follow so pay attention and i think you will love it!!

It's good but long. Have you seen the first one, 'cuz if you see the first one you have to see the second one and if you see the second one you REALLY REALLY HAVE TO SEE the third one. You'll see what I mean if you watch it! But overall it was fantastic!

I love that drunken pirate so what can I say. Overall, I really enjoyed it and look forward for the last installment. Go watch it and rate it for yourself. :)

i just saw it tonight and loved it. i don't know why people have to be so negative. it sets the story up for part 3.
