Ok, so my friend and I pretty much do everything together. And we had been talking about getting tattoos at the same time. Not necessarily the same one, but just together. Anywho...she has this other friend from school, and we all are pretty good friends, but she just tries to be like her all the time. It bugs the hell out of me, and now they are getting the same tattoo. I just dont know what to think. Its not that I want the same tattoo...its mostly that when our friend mentioned it, my best friend got all uncomfortable, b/c she was trying to hide it. That is what hurt my feelings the most. I know part of it is about jealousy. but honestly I just feel like that wasnt very best friend like. And we havent really talked about. I wouldnt even know what to say. Im just pissed!! Would you be mad. What would you do!??

I know its not THAT important, but its one of the many things that make me feel like shes a bad friend. But at the same time, I think she like my only true friend, thats why its hurts me the most. How do I deal with "identity crisis" ha ha...her wanting to be like everyone else. Its annoying!

I think all tattoos are gross and on girls they look especially "whorish" (the tramp stamp is so lovely...not) I'd let the two of them go and get stupid matching tattoos and I wouldn't get one at all then next year when they aren't talking to each other and the one you still are friends with is freaking out trying to cover her tattoo and hide it from her parents or figure out what she can wear to the prom without looking like a trailer park reject (and wedding dresses are even worse) you will still look beautiful and un-scarred

It's all jealousy and that is a normal feeling, nothing to be ashamed of I think I would feel the same way. The only advice I can give is act happy for them and try to include the other girl in you activities with your friend, you never know you guys might become a great threesome ( as friends). I'm afraid if you go the other way and try to exclude her you are the one who might get excluded. Give it a try you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. It might be hard at first but like I said it might work out great. I am sorry to hear your going through that I know it can be tough when you feel like your loosing your best friend. Good Luck

Okay, you hit the jealousy characteristic right on. I know this is a hard concept to grasp , your best friend finds another friends that my share more similarities with her than you do, and now your feeling a little left out. Teenage drama.. I say you talk to her about it. One of the hardest yet most bravest things to do in this situation. It's okay for you to be mad, its human nature, but it isnt okay to be mad and ignore the problem, so my advice to you is DEFINTELY talk to your best friend about this. Let her know that you dont think it's right that she hide hurtful things such as breaking a promise with you about gettinga tattoo together, and sharing that special moment with someone else. Maybe she doesnt know how special that time may be for you, she might not be taking this as seriously as you. So, talk to her. It'll all work out for the best <3

I would be mad to but you need to talk to her about it. I know it's hard but you should really talk to her about how you feel and how even though it's not about the tattoo, it still hurts that she went behind your back. Dont try to make her feel bad and dont blame her for it, just tell her how you feel. Make sure that what you're saying to her is comfortable enough that if you were in her shoes, you'd be ok to hear it too. Hope this helps =)

My feelings would be hurt. You first discussed it with your friend and then this other friend jumps into the picture. You should tell your friend how you feel. Maybe all three of you could go at the same time.

Go get a tattoo with another friend or by yourself. Don't get mad you probably have friends that are more of a friend to you then her. She is rather immature if she can't come out and tell you herself.

That's alright, just find a real good tatoo and don't tell them about it. Just get it and show it off. Everyone will give you more compliments, and your friend will feel stupid for being such a follower.

OK, it would seem to me that ur most likly in high school, or maybe middle school. but really all this trying to impress eachother is gonna matter NONE when ur done with school. it would really be pointless to get a tatoo just to impress someone or spite them. get a tatoo that expesses ur personality, for urself.

Maybe you are feeling left out or that she is doing something that does not include you. I would not be mad but maybe a tiny bit hurt but that is not because she did something wrong but because I am sensitive.
