I wrote, typed and illustrated a handmade children's book for my boyfriend's son and ended up making copies for my 5 year old cousin and other relatives and everyone tells me i need to get it published. Does anyone know how or where i could do that?

Sending a manuscript and a copy of the book to publishers is how you start. Send to as many as you can,not neglecting smaller publishers who maybe just the one who will do it. Be prepared to get rejection that does not mean it won't happen just keep plugging away. Google for writers chats ask away. best of luck ~A~

check out publishing companies web sites. they have a section called "submissions" and it gives u all the guidelines for submitting a manuscript. I'm not sure what publishing companies are over there, but pick some that publish childrens books. Maybe check out some of your cousin's books for publishing company names.

Do it online. Cafepress.com publishes your book for you and prints it and sells it. You set your selling price and they handle the rest. You set the minimum amount of $$ that needs to be in your account before they send you a check. It can be as low as $25.

The cost for printing a book, paperback style in perfect binding (like most books) is only $10. You just saved tons of money and time because you didn't mail it to different publishers and get possibly turned down. CP markets it, they allow you to choose your genre, etc.

Look in your childs book and see who published it. Go internet and get info and addresses. Make copies of your original work, send bits of writing with basic outline of story. Make sure you have your work notorized before you send it off. Good luck and good reading, our children need it. Make sure you notorize it, don't let anyone steal it legally. Make it your property!
