I would say that it is up to the woman making the decisions. However, from a medical standpoint, the risk of giving birth to a child with a birth defect does increase as the mother's age increases. This is probably due to abnormal division of the egg, called nondisjunction. The traditional age at which a woman is considered to be at high risk for chromosomal abnormalities is 35. Approx. 1 in 1400 babies born from women in their 20s have Down syndrome; it increases to 1 in 100 babies from women in their 40s

I would say around their early 30s. Alot of women like to have their careers before starting a family. I know by chance they are taking a risk of abnormalties in the baby, like down syndrome. But if women want their career first it is up to the mother.

Honestly it is the woman's choice, but they need to take some things into consideration as they get older. First, they have to consider themselves...Will they be able to keep up with a toddler at that age? Secondly, the risk of the baby having genetic disorders such as down syndrome, etc... increases with the woman's age...The woman must think of whether or not she is willing to risk that and THEN be able to take care of the child after its delivery... Though purely the woman's choice, she needs to consider all possible outcomes before acting...

You are a guy......why should you care?
1. If a woman desperately wants a baby to love, then
try as long as she wants.
2. If the woman already has 4 or 5 kids, then age
doesn't matter as she needs to stop now.
3. Perhaps it matters as to how many children she
can afford.
4. If she has 3 children by 3 different men, it's time
to just stop.

I'd say 40 because after that the babies are more acceptable to have problems like down syndrome and retardation. This is just what I have heard.

Really it is the women's choice. But my choice would be 30 years old unless you have been trying to have kids and weren't successful until after that.

30...I personally think 30 is too old. When their kid finishes college they will be too old to relate to their child.
