Glaucoma is a disease in your eye that can cause you to blind. It messes with the nerves.

As for the marijuana...I had to look that up lol because I was never sure myself. here is what I found:

Pros
Uncontrolled glaucoma can permanently damage a crucial nerve (optic nerve) found in the inner back portion of the eye, often leading to loss of side (peripheral) vision. Advocates of medical marijuana use say earlier studies demonstrate that the drug has proven properties of lowering intraocular pressure in the eye.

Cons
But it can also be argued that many medications and therapies currently are available that accomplish the same purpose of lowering intraocular pressure, without the unknown and potentially harmful effects of continued marijuana use. These side effects may include mental and behavioral changes and possible addiction.

sorry for the copy and paste, especially seeing as how I hate it when people do it to me. But I would hate to give you an incorrect answer.

Glaucoma is primarily characterized by abnormally high intraocular fluid pressure (the fluid in your eye is causing extra pressure inside the eye, which can lead to damaged optic disks and blindness). Some studies have shown that marijuana can lower this intraocular pressure, which would help delay the progression of the disease.

Note: the marijuana is NOT prescribed for pain from glaucoma -- glaucoma is completely painless.

Glaucoma is when your eyes get clouded over and it gets harder & harder to see. It can eventually lead to blindness. Marijuana takes the pressure from behind the eyes and numbs the pain.

Some studies say it prevents it in those who smoked it prior to getting it. It may also help with the pressure build up in the eye in sufferers of this illness. O_O

Marijuana is excellet for pain. You can burn your hand on a stove and take one small hit of medical grade marijuana and the pain is gone. Pain so bad that you would need to goto the hospital to stop it. Thank god for Marijuana, just as powerful as MORPHINE FOR PAIN.

Funny how u spell marijuana right and not "glaucoma"..
Glaucoma is something that reduces vision, kind of it being clouded over..Medicinal marijuana, or Marinol, capsule pot form, reduces glaucoma.
