This depends on several factors.
I'll assume it is a 91 Jeep Wrangler

1)If your having the clutch replaced because it is worn.
think about having the clutch hydraulic slave cylinder changed at the time. They are notorious about failing and require the transmission be removed to do it so put a new one in while it is out. make sure they put in a new pilot bearing (goes in the center of the flywheel) when they replace the transmission.

2) unless there is something broken on the flywheel, why a new one? Usually a flywheel can be turned in a lathe and re-surfaced they are like new and it is much cheaper. Make sure they mark the position of the flywheel before it is removed and is put back in the same position, if not it may not be in balance, and will cause engine vibration. ( your mechanic will swear that it wasn't his fault but ) they balance the flywheel on the engine when Chrysler puts the 4.0 liter 6 Cyl together, they are very sensitive to balance.

why do you think you need to change the flywheel? anyway:

The guy above said $800 guaranteed,
I agree, but give him the list of things you expect. (New Hydraulic Throw out Cly, new pilot bushing (don't forget to lube the pilot bushing) re-face the flywheel, (that is if you don't replace the flywheel) you want a quality clutch plate. 1 yr warranty parts and labor. 'GET IT IN WRITING'

Jeep Wrangler Clutch Kit

The cost for a repair of that kind depends on several factors. First: Parts. You can buy an OE clutch from the manufacturer (recommended) or you can buy an aftermarket clutch kit from Advance or Auto Zone. The price for the parts could range anywhere from $250 - $450 depending on which one you decide to buy. Make sure that you get a clutch disc, pressure plate, release (throw-out) bearing, and a pilot bearing (if applicable). The second factor is labor cost. Depending where you live labor rates can vary greatly! The labor time can also be affected by whether it's 2 or 4 wheel drive. All in all you could expect to spend $800 -$1200 depending on parts, labor, and warranty. The flywheel should be able to be machined/turned. Replacement is not usually required.

That depends greatly on whether you do it yourself or pay a mechanic. The parts will probably run near 250.00 or more. Consider a junk yard for the fly wheel. Or, if possible, sweat a new ring gear on to the existing fly wheel. You'll need the right equipment for that. Probably not practical unless you have a oxy-acetylene torch. That can save you lots of money. The clutch may need complete replacement or perhaps just a rebuild. That could save you lots too. Labor will cost more than the parts so figure at least 500.00 at a reputable certified repair place
