Sex is actually the urge inside that God give for human to survive by reproducing. It can be a gamble if you have sex carelessly (unprotected). It can be some kind of sports if you spent much energy doing it. But of course sex involve emotion.

Sport = always wanting to play
Emotion = emotions always make it better
Gamble = trying new things, thrilling, exciting

Sex as an emotion is good, as a sport enjoyable, as a gamble dicey.
Of course all the participants must voluntarily be involved in the act.

sex can be all of that and more depends on what your wanting out of it and make sure who ever you are with is very clear on what your expectations are.
