The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer, My Life At Rose Red. Do you believe it or was she just a crazy and mistreated woman? Could all those people really have disappeared in that house? Certainly a creepy book.

I read it without knowing it was part of Steven King's twisted mind. I personally found alot of interesting similarities between the created Ellen Rimbauer and the real life tale of Sarah Winchester. I don't think she was crazy or mistreated, I think that in her mind everything she and others experienced in Rose Red was real. Again, in the case of people disappearing, isn't anything possible? Look at the Bermuda Triangle for examples. However, if you found this tale interesting, look up Sarah Winchester, you'll be shocked at the similarities.

I only have the dvd. I would like to read the book because I hear it is much better, as usual, than the movie. As far as an opinion on just what I gathered by watching the movie: Well, it seems a bit far fetched, but they say if you believe in things like that it can happen..I just view it as really good creativity. I believe that bad things like that can happen though if you are open to it..I am not. Seems a bit contradicting, I know, but I can't explain it any other way...

Yes I do believed it occured. In that time it was nothing to dissapear, the crime was roaring ,money rolled, so did people and bodies. People with money often loose track of what they really do and what they order. Everything has a price. I think someone came back on the earthly level to repay all the lives lost at Rose Red, for no compinsation for the family,s left behind.
