I have replace many screens in my home at a very low cost. I went to Menard's and purchase a large role of screen. Just in case the black rubber that holds in place is warn, I purchased that also. Also you get this nifty little tool to help you. All I did was remove the rubber around the screen and pull out the old screen. I measure how much screen I needed. I cut a couple inches more for the top and bottom. I took the rubber ( its like a rubber band but l longer. and the screen. I put the screen around the frame of the window, and then took the black rubber and ran it all around the window. I then took that neat little tool that came with the kit and I went all around the window. This tool is designed to fit the slots around the screen, so your actually securing the screen into place with the rubber and that tool is pushing the screen and rubber down into the base of the window. When completed you can not even see the black rubber.

Many hardware stores offer a service to rebuild screens.
It often seems expensive, but when you do the math of what it would cost you to do it your self it comes out about even, and all you do is drop them off and pick them up and put them back in. If pets did this; opt for the tougher grade materials.

I take mine to a local hardware like H&S or Mr. Hardware. Window screens come back like new. Also had my patio door screen replaced. I have had excellent results using the smaller stores because they value customers and want you to come back.

you could have them made just look under windows in the yellow pages and you'll find many places that install windows and make custom screens for windows my dad is a contractor and he actually just bought some screens for a client i think they were 17 bucks a piece

20 years old ---go to a hardware store and have them do them for you -while this is something you can do yourself- believe me the aggravation of doing them on your own is not worth the $ it will cost to have someone do them professionally!
