Well, I'm 43 and I still love Disneyland in California! I know someone who just recently went and apparently they have added a few characters on the Pirates of the Carribean ride by adding Captain Jack and some others from the movie.
Remember, you don't just have Disneyland but the park owned by Disney within walking distance (10 steps give or take a few steps) is California Adventure and they have some awesome rides. Screaming California (a roller coaster ride), Soring Over California (this awesome ride that makes you feel like you are actually flying over certain areas of California - fantastic!), the Tower of Terror (fantastic free falling ride - it's great!!), there's a great water ride that I can't seem to remember the name of it, there's the Hollywood Back Lot.
Disneyland and California Adventure are great parks! I still enjoy Disneyland after all these years, and like I said I'm 43 and my first trip there was when I was 10. It's really what you make of it!

Disney in Anaheim Is great for all ages, the California adventure theme park adjoining to Disney is really good for the older "KID".
Disney town is also on the property which has House Of blues and other fun stuff. Also go to knotts berry farm about 8 miles away in Buena Park Great theme park great rides and the best Boysenberry Pie and Chicken .If you really have the need for speed...6 Flags AKA wally world..about 40 miles north of Disney on I-5. FFaaaaaast stuff there .

Well, California Adventures (the park across from disneyland) has rides and things to do that is more sutible for the older age. U might want to get park hopper passes so u have more ground to cover...it'll keep u guys busy for a day or two.

acceptable this second's no longer the perfect time to bypass to DCA. there is multiple structure it extremely is polishing off. DCA has some very cool rides and points of interest: California Screamin', Toy tale halfway Mania, Soarin' Over California, the international of color tutor, and extra. perfect element to do must be to get a Park Hopper cost ticket, then you could bypass to both parks the same day. in case you change into drained of DCA or don't love it for some reason, you could walk in the course of to Disneyland.

At ANY age, It allows you to escape. They have excellent short theater, adapted to a shorter attention span.
The Alladin play I saw in Disney's California Adventure brought me to tears, and blew me away. Also, highly recommended is the "Electric Light Parade". Its a work of genius. That song is stuck in my head. (Google "Baroque Hoedown" by Gershon Kingsley)
Highly recommended for people who are sad, want to escape, and need entertainment at any age.
It brought back some of my lost childhood.
However I think more poor children need to have an opportunity to go there once in their lifetime to get away from the drudgery of daily life. They might be able to see a "Whole New World" for themselves.

I do not think Disneland is just for kids. But probably for teenager, Universal Studio can be a better experience.
