Yes, I've read about the 'Converse werewolf.'
Incident occurred close to Converse, TX. Fifteen year old boy sent out to kill a deer failed to return. Days later the boy's dad and neighbors found an 8-foot tall creature appearing like a cross between a 'wolf and a gorilla' feeding on the boy's remains.
Dad went into a depression & died. (No other deails--may be a 'rural legend.')
