Let your probation officer know, but on a misdemeanor they really can't stop you as long as you don't just take off.

I don't practice in Florida, but do in Missouri.

IF you had an attorney when you were sentenced to probation, you should contact him/her to make sure that the circumstances of your transfer will meet the requirements of Missouri law.

If you did not, and you are on probation, you need to contact your Missouri probation department. Explain the circumstances. As has been mentioned above, if you are on supervised probation, you may have to interface and arrange for completion in Florida. If you are not, there may be other options available to you.

If you do not get a satisfactory answer, consult an attorney in Missouri, who can advise you on the circumstances that will affect your case. If you don't know an attorney, call your local or state bar association, and they can refer you to an attorney.

You need to talk to your probation officer about having an address change and service moved. The two states will communicate, you may or may not be approved. Just follow the procedures from your officer.

If it is supervised probation, you will need to check with your probation officer. If it is unsupervised, you should have no trouble moving!
