For the life of me, I don't know why this is so. I know that Adolph Hitler, the Ku Klux Klan and all the other people haters of the past, would kill themselves, if they knew one fact. God made us all. Civilization began in Africa. Now you know that the people of Africa were quite dark in color. As the weather conditions changed and people migrated, their facial shapes changed. The people developed thinner noses, their eyes changed shapes, their skin coloring became extremely light, even blindingly white. This is because of the weather conditions. The tough skin of the dark man, which was a mirror of his former self, became thinner and white in appearance. The heavier noses and lips became thinner. The tones of the people's voices changed. People didn't even realize that they were one and the same. God himself is made of burnt bronze. Any librarian worth their salt can look this up for you. It is amazing how long the story of one race is better than another, when factually we are all one and the same. Read Psalm 35 to (Plead My Cause) and God will bless and keep it all together for you. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

Because we are all still here! Racism is used to oppress one group of people and to maintain the power structure of the group that oppressed! In our time now and in our society today - it's people of the Caucasian Persuasion that are the oppressors and that are in power! Do you really think they are going to give up all that power that the practise of racism has provided for them - No - they won't! Never! No matter how much they now say the N word! No matter how much it's pointed out to them - no matter that it is to their own destruction - all of our destruction.
Racism is practised in the Bible - read it!
I don't agree with this - but - it states in the Bible that God choose Jews over everyone else - in the old testament - now the New Testament - God(Jesus Christ) is totally inclusive! I don't believe that God choose one people over another - but some people do!
Selfishness, power, and every other reason that you can imagine is why racism is alive - and will be as long as we are here - alive.
Have you checked yourself - you can answer that question when you ask it of yourself!

I think racism is still alive because people are so paranoid of being discriminated against they end up doing the discrimination. If blacks stopped using the N-word it would go away. But they call each other that name and if a non-black says it, they are the racist. There's this notion that blacks cant be racists. But they can be just as racists as anyone else. Look at Islam, they hate anyone that is not one of them.

that is a very simple question with a very simple answer....the human is complex but the most simplistic thing we can judge on is outer appearance I.E. race....Everyone thinks about it and everyone profiles racially even if you don't know it! when it becomes more of a hatred and anger towards that race, that is the problem...everyone is technically prejudice because we all have those little stereotypes like gays are flamboyant and blacks are drug dealers and whites are uptight...racism will ALWAYS exist and the only way it can solve is if we try not to LET it get out of hand

because people need a crutch to lean on and some of them refuse to accept the fact that they are losers because they made the wrong decisions in life....its much easier to blame it on racism than for them to admit they are a failure. I hate racism.....but it will never go away, because people wont let it.

Because idiots keep it alive, especially the media. As long as you work hard, are honest and raise your family the best way you know how, I will like you.

Fear of the unknown. Failing to understand other groups of people out of concern. Too conservative agendas that exist in culture and politics these days. Refusal to evolve beyond what is necessary only to one's own comfort level.

because people have not learned to think with their heart instead of their ego. human beings have to learn tolerance and compassion for their neighbor. this will happen only when man finally accepts God into their heart all negativity and hatred will leave. we can then live in peace and harmony with our brothers and sisters. doesn't hurt anything to dream. i think we have as a race of people{earthlings} have a lot of growing to do. let God fill your life and my you walk in his light for the rest of your life. i have seen many tremendous changes in just my life time, as change is coming every day. we are a growing and learning race of people. may you walk in the light of God for all your days.

Because different races exist.
I believe that different races have different characteristics and that recognizing this is not baseed on ignorance but awareness.
